Important Service Update October 14, 2024

We want to provide you with an update regarding the ongoing storm debris and trash removal efforts in our community.

Household Garbage Collection: Solar Sanitation, Inc. is committed to collecting all household garbage as efficiently as possible. Our crews are working tirelessly, often overtime, to ensure that your trash is picked up promptly.

Storm Debris: Unfortunately, due to FEMA’s storm rules and regulations, we are currently unable to collect storm debris. Pinellas County has also instructed all haulers to refrain from picking up storm debris at this time due to the fact that FEMA has deemed Pinellas County Solid Waste Facility not a FEMA authorized storm debris facility. FEMA has contract a company for storm debris collection and we do not have any timeline or schedule available to us for when that will be.

To ensure proper disposal, please follow FEMA’s guidelines for setting out your storm debris.

Customer Support: We understand that many of you may have questions or concerns. Our team is working diligently to address your inquiries. However, please note that due to high call volumes, we may experience delays in responding. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Focus on Household Garbage: Our trucks are currently prioritizing the collection of household garbage. If your inquiry is related to storm debris, please contact Pinellas County for assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this challenging time.

Sincerely, Solar Sanitation, Inc.
